The Challenge
Access. Kenji Mori had never allowed a camera crew into his work before. Eighteen months of correspondence before a yes.
The Approach
We shot everything on 16mm to align with Mori's belief in the physicality of craft. The grain, the accidents, the limitations — all intentional.
The Outcome
Netflix global release. 4.2 stars on average. Longlisted for BAFTA Documentary Feature.
